Originally a 1930s service station, Landmark Coffee is an adaptive reuse space that utilises the forecourt as a porch that engages passive observers with active participants. The composite illustration is an expression of architecture parlante: architecture whose function "speaks" through its form.

In surrealist fashion, the portafiler attached to the underside of the canopy transforms the structure into a pseudo espresso machine which is fueled by a vintage gas pump. On the left are ladies lunching, whose figures were referenced from a photo taken in Sevilla, Spain. On the right, a Rolls Royce; a current feature donning a custom "LND MRK" license plate.

As the focal point of the design, the coffee shop is emphasised by its rigid massing, two-point perspective, and distorted scale of entourage, which guide the eye inwards and upwards to Landmark Coffee.
